At the cusp of the electronic revolution in India was born the National Radio Company in New Delhi. Pioneer electronic engineers of their time, Jagdish Singh Banga and Anup Singh Banga started with the manufacturing of analog multimeters in collaboration with the leading Japanese company Sakura. The plant in New Delhi was set up with the help of Japanese engineer Mr. Tanaka. It took them 3 years from 1962 to 1965 to get the factory at full manufacturing capacity. The brand Reico-Sakura was established as a union between India and Japan.
As the company ventured into servicing, they realized that the market demand for soldering irons was huge. This realization created a whole new product line and manufacturing unit of soldering irons and soldering stations.
